Indian pop artist Yo Yo Honey Singh was forced to cancel his first-ever large-scale concerts Nov. 8 in New York City and Nov. 9 in Washington, D.C., because his background musicians could not get their visas in time, reports BollywoodHungama.“It was meant to be my biggest concert ever and I was preparing for months for it,” he said. “I was to be accompanied by 18 musicians.
At the last minute I got to know that some of my musicians had not got their visas. It was too late to do anything about it. We had no choice but to cancel. We’re now looking at doing our New York concert in December.”
Singh’s latest single, “Bring Me Back,” recently beat A.R. Rahman’s track “Nenjukulle” from Mani Ratnam’s latest film “Kadalam” to pick up a Best Indian Act prize at the Europe Music Awards presented by MTV.
